Critical Look

This is a dishonest company in Romania. They give the option of auto renewal, charge your credit card, but the auto renewal does not happen! Your system suddenly shows Bitdefender is expired with no protection! Customer service gives you a run around treatment as if no one knows what the problem is. The software is named Bitdefender but billing is handled by Avangate? Each one of these refers you to the other one with 0 results. Both will be reported to the authorities and Apple for dishonest activity. You are warned. There are much better reputable companies. Avoid Bitdefender/Avangate!

Poor Customer service

The product itself was good,however the customer service might have been the worst I ever encountered.Beware if you need help or encounter a problem,I’ll not be using this app.

Bitdefender

Although I know Bitdefender as one of the best antiviruses out there it could not help me with some adware problems I had. It found some infected files, but the popups I was getting were still there

Will not scan

The app will not scan. It will just say “scan complete” as soon as I click scan

Worked like a charm!

Used this in conjunction with googling how to remove the harder ones…and I was able to remove every last malware/adware without destroying my computer! I recommend this for any and everyone as this app does exactly what it says…it works so great that it even checked for malware/adware on my external hard drive and in my mac email and deleted them. Great app!!!! Thanks...

An Awful Tedious Process of Updating - But Great Customer Support

Once I updated to the newest version of the operating system for my macbook, Bitdefender quietly disappeared. I noticed that it was gone a week or two later and contacted tech support. The software even disappears if you pay to renew. Downloading the new version is truly miserable as your password for the main website won’t work for the download site. Just complete mysery dealing with the clunky awful update process. Update the customer support people talked me through the process and it all went well eventually. The software works well on the whole.
