Freezes My System

I want to like this app because it has a nice UI and I am in need of a virus scanner. But after an hour or so of trying to scan my whole computer, it freezes my Macbook running Lion 10.7.3. Ive tried three times to do a full scan, and each time within an hour, my compter freezes to the point I have to do a force shutdown of the whole system. And sometimes it mixed up my computer so much so, I had to restart my computer a second time to de-scramble the damage it had done. It found viruss that needed fixing, but I could never get to the cleaning part before it freezes up or finishes scanning. Didnt work at all for me.
